Before the ceremony I spend some time with the family for formal photographs. I try to avoid the "Stand here and look at the camera" type of family photo. I just love this picture of Yvonne and her dad hugging. Although I call this a posed picture, you can see that the real point of posing is to get the lighting, body angles, background and camera position set, and then allow people to express their emotions. This is what wedding photography is all about - family and connections. Yvonne and Ron did not want to see each other before the ceremony. So, while Ron was spending time with his parents and groom's men outside, Yvonne and her family were inside for these photographs. |
